Reviews - What do our customers think?
No Apology necessary? Why Not?  Jun 27, 2005
Carter attempts to biblically justifies slavery by jumping around the bible, and pulling anything together to seem like fact. He believes that we are the children of Canaan, (son of Ham) and that we were cursed for the Idol worship that went on in Ancient Egypt. Carter is very articulate in his writtings, but I wonder if he truly believes what he has written. I recently began a journey on my own of black history because I had never really learned anything about anyone but MLK. If I had read this book before I learned on my own, I would really be ashamed of being black, and feel inferior to all whites. (As my school upbringing had already made me feel as a child)

I would not suggest reading this book. I would not suggest letting your kids read this book until they are older and have a good self image. He claims that God lifted Europeans up intentionally to enslave us, as a punishment for idol worship. But, some of these claims he makes are for periods of time that are so far apart-its almost sad. But, he seems so knowledgable, that most would think he is writting nothing but truth. This is what was preached to justify slavery long ago.

I spoke with several people about this book, and my favorite response was "insane negro, doing the masters work for his plate of Alpo"
