Item Description...
As seen on Chris Tomlin's Indescribable Tour. The heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Night after night they remind us of just how small we are, and how huge God is. Looking out into the far reaches of the universe, we find a seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned by a God of unfathomable size and power. Just a glimpse of one of the billions of visible galaxies He has formed resizes us, shrinking us, and the world we call home, to seeming insignificance in an instant. But as tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours, and mine. And in the most stunning rescue imaginable, God sent His Son to this spinning planet we call home--the Creator reconnecting us to Himself with life that never ends. Indescribable takes us on an image-rich journey through the cosmos, allowing us to peer into God's universe to discover the amazing magnitude of His greatness and grace.

More About Trenches

Louie Giglio Giglio was born in 1958 and grew up in a Christian home in Atlanta, Georgia. One morning at 2 AM during his freshman year at Georgia State University in 1977, he decided to follow Christ instead of the party life. That conscious decision led him to become one of the architects of the modern worship style geared towards young people with its emphasis on informal attire, expressive worship and low-key, visually driven sermons.

Giglio's ministry is based on Isaiah 26:8 - "Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts" (from the New International Version).

After Giglio graduated from Georgia State University, he earned a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. After finishing seminary, Giglio and his wife Shelley began a weekly Bible study called Choice Ministries at Baylor University. After several years, over ten percent of the student body was attending the weekly study.

In 1995, the Giglios moved from Waco, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. While flying from Texas to Georgia, Giglio began to plan for a national gathering of Christian college students; this evolved into the Passion conferences. In addition, Giglio, along with Bill Willits from North Point Community Church, began a Bible study called 7:22 for college students from the Atlanta. Giglio led this Bible study weekly until 2005.

In January 1997, Passion hosted its first conference for college students, which lasted four days in Austin, Texas. Two thousand people attended. This launched Passion to the public and it has been followed by conferences and tours yearly. The Passion conferences hosted in January 2005 and 2006 drew thousands of college students to Nashville. In 2000, Giglio and others formed Sixsteps Records, a record label for Christian worship artists. Sixsteps' list of signed artists includes David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Charlie Hall. It also releases live albums from the Passion conferences.

In 2007, over 22,000 students gathered in Atlanta, GA, where the missions focused on their "Do Something Now" campaign. This raised $1,500,000 for global ministries on six continents. Giglio and the Passion ministry plan on holding regional events around the US in late 2007 and early 2008, and then go to the nations of the world in 2008 with the Passion World Tour.

Louie Giglio currently resides in Atlanta, in the state of Georgia.

Louie Giglio has published or released items in the following series...

Reviews - What do our customers think?
this sounds like Neurosis and Killswitch Engage jamming together  Jul 11, 2009
it took me some time to put together a title for my review. Trenches sounds like Neurosis jamming with Killswitch Engage. I have a minor complaint with the booklet and that is there are no lyrics in it. the music, however is top notch. I think we will hear more from Trenches in the near future. this is some radical music.
anyone who doesn't rate this 5 stars is nuts...  May 26, 2009
Friends, listen. This album is the best thing Jimmy Ryan has done so far. The first two Haste the Day cds were good, but this is absolutely phenomenal. I only bought this disc because I love Ryan's voice, but I was blown away with the talent of the whole band. The genre of this album is, dare I say, Mellow-Metal. It's got all the good metally goodness, but when you listen to it, you feel like chillin back and it relaxes you. This is probably the best album I've heard in a long time, and my favorite of the moment. Definitely pick this up.
What happened, Jimmy?  Mar 3, 2009
Normally, I would be all over anything that Solid State puts out. Even more so for Jimmy Ryan, the former lead "singer" for Haste The Day. But I was more than disappointed with this record. It's really unlistenable at times, which is sad for the talent that's there. Almost every song sounds EXACTLY the same, and I'm not saying that lightly. There are a few tracks that redeem the album (Trip the Landmine, Ocean Currents, Calling), but overall not very impressive.
A monster is born.  Nov 19, 2008
Finally a new band comes along with a sound all their own. I've listened to this album about 20 times now and it just gets better every time I hear it. Although their super-heavy, atmospheric sludge sound could be compared to other neumetal bands, they really manage to transcend their influences. The song writing is excellent. They use just enough light parts and tempo changes to accentuate the dark and powerful feel. Never boring but also displaying a patient confidence in their vision that is seldom seen these days. One can only hope that they stay together and hold fast to their uncompromising artistry. The only complaint I have is that they don't provide lyrics. A small thing considering their achievement.
Waste of No Talent  Oct 8, 2008
I would prefer to give this album "NO" stars. From beginning to end it lacks any identity and gets worse and worse from its first few mediocre songs. This album reminds me of a starter high school band sitting around playing random riffs and asking each other "did that one sound good?". In its attempt to sound atmospheric it falls flat and is regulated by simple "Door-ish" layouts that are interuppted by dual petulant screams which sound like they were recorded in a bathroom. If not for Jimmy Ryan's participation, this album wouldn't have seen the light of day, let alone received a recording contract. Jimmy Ryan of course, the much accolated former singer of Haste the Day, brings nothing new to his fans through this boorish breakdown of ripped off mood metal. If Hell has elevator music, THIS IS IT! Mr. Ryan should make "haste" and get down on his knees and beg the Chaulk brothers to take him back. Maybe at this point, a little too late. Haste the Day it would seem have refigured out their sound with their new album "Dreamer". Their last album "Pressure the Hinges" was everywhere and nowhere and frustrated by the departure of Jimmy. In the end, if this is a contest for who made the right move, Haste the Day has WON! For those of you who wish to spend your precious money on this CD, wait until the label drops it and you can get it for free with a minor $1.99 shipping charge. Jimmy Ryan, shame on you.
