Reviews - What do our customers think?
Some pastors--yay ... others--nay  Dec 8, 2007
This book has some good insights, allowing a minister to have a better grounding in what it means to conduct ministry activities and retain good ministry attitudes.

This book focuses on the American minister. The fact of its focus is fine; a side-effect, though, is that it puts the clay in the kiln about how a church and its leader should function. In other words, it bypasses the obvious need for American churches to rediscover its roots, roots that much of the rest of the world now possesses.

I do not fault the book as a cause of the American churches' disease (and the minister is by no means vaccinated from it), but this book sometimes will only treat symptoms.

If you have access to a copy, take some time to find some of your weaknesses and gain perspective... but get a balanced perspective by using additional sources besides this one.
