Item Description...
Nearly one million people have participated in The Upper Room's Walk to Emmaus since it began in 1978 as a three-day leadership renewal movement. Bob Wood, the founding international director of the Walk to Emmaus, gives a very personal firsthand account of the beginnings of the movement. Wood recalls people from the Catholic Cursillo movement who helped Emmaus begin, and he shares how Cursillo communities advised Emmaus groups as they deepened their relationship with Christ. In addition to a timeline of significant events in the Emmaus movement, Wood also writes about Chrysalis, the youth Emmaus movement.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Short, Sweet, and To The Point  Apr 27, 2005
Bob Wood's excellent history on the birth of the "Walk To Emmaus" movement is must reading for those who are a part of this growing ministry. He does an excellent job of taking his readers through the ground floor of something that later turned out to be huge. This is certainly $3 well spent.

The book will have little appeal for those who are unfamiliar with the subject matter.
