Reviews - What do our customers think?
 | Good for large classes Sep 27, 2008 |
I've been using this book for several months now. Before I started using it, I was enthusiastic about it because of the fact that handouts are included. The book is perforated, which makes them easy to tear out. Also, students are encouraged to look at the Bible as a whole and not simply as a collection of random stories. However, using the book in the classroom was not as simple as I had expected it to be. This may have been because I only have 4 children in my class, and this book seems to have been designed for classes of 15 children or greater. Many of the activities require the children to get into groups of 5, which can be confusing if there are not many kids. The activities also often require a great deal of preparation. One such activity involved making trail mix, which was fun, but for which I ended up spending more than $15 on dried fruit. The kids, who have very short attention spans, had a lot of trouble staying focused during lessons. They were often asked to look up many verses and would become very bored with this. Thus, I'm not as satisfied with this book as I wanted to be, but I do think it might work better with a larger class. | | | Write your own review about Study Gods Plan Curriculum (Route 52)
