Publishers Description

A paperback edition of E.B. White's classic novel about one small mouse on a very big adventure With black and white illustrations.

Stuart Little is no ordinary mouse. Born to a family of humans, he lives in New York City with his parents, his older brother George, and Snowbell the cat. Though he's shy and thoughtful, he's also a true lover of adventure.

Stuart's greatest adventure comes when his best friend, a beautiful little bird named Margalo, disappears from her nest. Determined to track her down, Stuart ventures away from home for the very first time in his life. He finds adventure aplenty. But will he find his friend?

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Stuart Little  Mar 29, 2007
I think you would like this book called Stuart Little. You should go to your library and get this book to read. First, you should read my review. Then see if you would like to read this book.
Stuart Little is the person I will be talking about he is a mouse. He has a mom, dad, and a brother. In the story Stuart Little meets a friend called Margalo that is a bird.
Morgalo runs away from Stuart Little's house. So, Stuart Little goes to his doctor and asks for his model car to use. Then Stuart Little becomes a teacher. Then he keep on going and going.
I want to be a mouse!  Mar 13, 2007
Stuart Little is an energetic, funny mouse who can even teach school. He is able to do many things because of his small size. What happens when he sails a toy ship? How did he get a ring out of a drainpipe? To find out, read Stuart Little. This book made me wish I was a mouse.

The above review was written by my 9-year-old son. He has read the book three times already, and enjoys it every time.
I received this book as a gift when I was a child, and was thrilled to pass it on to some young friends this Christmas. White's story of an average couple who suddenly find themselves parents to a mouse is funny, touching and enduring. Fans of the recent Stuart Little films will be surprised at how "grown up" the novel is. And,like all good children's literature, the book treats its readers as intelligent and able to appreciate adult emotions: White never "talks down" to children. His "Charlotte's Web" is also a good example of his writing philosophy.
Mary johnson's review   Aug 11, 2006
I thought Stuart Little was a great book. Stuart is not a ordinary mouse, he is an adventerous mouse. The book was much better than the movie!
Strange ...  Jul 13, 2006
What a strange little book. Much is made of the fact that Stuart's parents - especially his mother - worries about him constantly, yet when he runs off to find his bird friend, he tells no one! And Stuart is obviously gay, not that there's anything wrong with that (I'm gay ... check out the illustration on page 31) He doesn't really want to date the girl, he's more interested in his canoe ...
