Publishers Description
The story for children 10 and up of St. Rose of Lima, who became a hermit in her own home--rather than go to a convent--and how she became a great Saint. At her confirmation in 1597, she took the name of Rose, because, when an infant, her face had been seen transformed by a mystical rose. As a child she was remarkable for a great reverence, and pronounced love, for all things relating to God. Impr. 132 pgs 13 Illus, PB

Reviews - What do our customers think?
You won't be able to put it down!  Sep 4, 2001
I bought this book (along with others by Mary Fabyan Windeatt) for my 8 year old. She couldn't put it down and whenever she stopped for a second it was to tell me what a good book it is! A great book for kids as well as adults. Not only tells the story of the saint, but does it in a very exciting & interesting way!

Great Book for Young and Old  Dec 30, 1998
This saint is my patron, so I could not resist reading her story. This book was well written and kept my interest, as it would for a teenage, or even a younger person. The author did a great job telling the story of this American Saint.
