Reviews - What do our customers think?
Satan in the churches  Nov 9, 2011
Harold Camping is 100% right with his teaching of the end of the church age. First of all, if God doesn't open the eyes of a person to this reality, no way that person will ever agree w/harold camping. The end of the church age does not come from his mind, it is God who open his mind and his eyes to that. I understand those people who don't agree, they cannot see that w/their mind; only God can open their eyes and mind to that. The bible is not 4 the mind of man, whenever U apply your mind 2 the Word of God you can never C truth.
25 - 30 yrs ago, was the church the way it is now? No, women R preaching, pastors are speaking in tongue. Did we C dat 30 yrs ago? Women did not even think about preaching. It's bcauz Christ was in the churches, he did not allow those tings 2 happen.
These people are NOT comparing scripture with scripture!!  Dec 15, 2007
...they are adding their OWN logic to this very important situation! PLEASE read "The End of the Church Age...And After", (and also check out my review for that book as well), and "Time has an End". And by the way, the book Camping wrote was titled "1994?" Yes, with a question mark after the title!! 1994 was and is still an important year in the bible and how it adds up to our current end times! Camping's been on the air for 50 years, the Family Radio network, is obviously doing something right. Everything he says is backed by scripture 5 times over. Here's the problem: Agree or not, the local churches are a business!!! Business is made up of people!! People are not perfect!! I agree, Camping comes across as a rude man on his "Open Forum" radio show, but that's because he eats, sleeps, and breathes the bible; he has NO sense of humor on that program! The man is actually very nice. Of course people can't stand him - he openly says divorce is not biblical, the "sinners prayer" is a joke, and most controversial= people don't choose God, HE chose the elect before the foundations of the world!! You see, people put their own HUMAN logic into scripture, you are insulting our great creator when you do this! Read the above two books by Camping along with your bible, (and for the love of God, I hope it's the KJV or NKJV, but that's another story completely) and really I can't see why you'd disagree. Straight up, people: Give me 45 minutes of your time, along with an open, humble mind, and a bible and I will show you, by the grace of God, why we should run from the local churches. But, don't take me up on this challenge if the bible is NOT your ultimate authority, because we'll waste our time. Scripture is real, God-breathed, what it says goes. But ask most any pastor this, they'll disagree. Please go see my review for Camping's, "End of the church age...". Oh, and by the way, this book get's one star, this author obviously is not comparing scripture to scripture, he's adding HIS human logic, the bible is not a diary, bro, it's a living book, we don't have to like it, but if you live against it, you're setting yourself up for grief, heartache, and dissapointment. Remember, "God is not a respecter of persons". I pray you people open your eyes, and read all avenues on this topic along with the bible. Take this book with a grain of salt, and purchase the other two above. You'll get much more out of it: History, Solid biblical evidence, and an enriching experience. This author, while probably a nice, God loving, man is obviously not doing his homework and approaching the bible the way he should, because the bible screams out in Matthew, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Revelation, Daniel, and more = "GET OUT OF THE CHURCHES"!
Harold Camping has it 100% RIGHT  Aug 13, 2007
This is nothing more than a sad attepmt to hold on to traditional ideas. However the Bible is the LIVING WORD, constantly revealing itself. Can anybody deny that the church is DEAD. The catholic church paid out over $1 BILLION in pedophile claims in Los Angeles alone and tens of BILLIONS worldwide. Meanwhile the episcopal church is ordaining lesbians and gays right and left, as well as making an unqualified person their presiding bishop???
Does not understand scripture.  Jan 25, 2006
Mr. Duncan who is a "Theologian" is surprisingly weak on his understand of doctrines.

First of all he states some of the scriptures Harold Camping uses to teach what he believes the Bible teaches but does not address these scriptures in this pamphlet. Secondly, he believes the church is the outward corpororate representation of the "True Invisible Church" therefore setting up a straw man to knock it down.

Then again what should we expect from a 59 page response to a 500 page book. Don't waste your money.
does not address the teaching with scripture  Aug 13, 2005
Scriptural support is lacking in the rebuttal. Many seemingly practical reasons given but the wisdom of men is foolishness to God.Typical seminary response lacking scriptural substance.
Carefully read this and compare the conclusions to Scripture  Jun 17, 2005
This book may be worth reading. However, I have NOT read this book and, therefore, can not state emphatically one way or the other. Albeit, I have read the endorsement to this book by Dr. White who wrote his own rebuttal against Mr. Camping's teachings (which I did read).

I was unable to find any truly Scriptural support to Dr. White's arguments against Mr. Camping's teachings and, therefore, am cautious when I see that he is used to endorse this book.

Again, no matter which teachings of man you read, I encourage each reader to compare them with Scripture. Also, it would be wise to make sure that the rebuttals to teachings of any individual are accurately reporting the teachings that they are refuting. For instance, many say Mr. Camping is teaching that because the Bible teaches that the "Church is Dead" (the physical church), that he is also saying, in essence, that the gates of hell have overcome the church. However, Mr. Camping is teaching that the true believers, who make up the true Church (which is not a building made with the hands of men and is eternal in nature), will never be overrun by Satan. Mr. Camping uses Scripture alone as his source of truth, and indeed, encourages his listeners to check him out in the Bible.

Although this is not necessarily the nature of the argument in this book, I truly urge all readers of this book to check out the statements of these authors against the Holy Writ--The Bible.
