Q & A  Feb 27, 2010
Everyone has questions about where they came from, why am I here, is there a God. This books tackles the hard questions, gives us some
logic and some philosophical answers. Gives evidence to support the authors position. Yet leaves room for one to decide and choose a path.
Refuting False Religions Using Christian Philosophy & Presuppositions  Nov 24, 2009
You should ask yourself a couple questions before purchasing this Christian apologetic book by Mike A. Robinson. Are you a thinking person who craves rational reasons to refute false religions? Do you adore apologetic truths and inter-personal religious exchanges? Relish certain and undeniable proofs for Christianity? Have a soft spot for hard-to-win non-Christians?

Is that you? If so, you should know up front that Robinson's fascinating and powerful new book on comparative religions is, indeed, a marvelous resource. Accessible, reflective, vivid and vigorous in style without sacrificing decisive and winning arguments for the truth of the Bible and the exclusivity of Christ. There aren't too many books that can elevate your soul as you read highly cerebral philosophical positions and concepts, but this work lets your heart sore. It is a lucid defense of Christian Theism that is not just for the brainy academics, but lifts, sustains, and carries all fledging apologists to greater intellectual heights (along with those deeply committed to serious scholarly philosophy).

One Way to God: How Christian Philosophy and Presuppositions Refute False Religions is not written to rile, but to equip Christians to share their faith with confidence by traversing the brave new territory of world religions. Robinson assembles:

1. Deductive Arguments.
2. Transcendental Arguments.
3. A Priori Arguments.
4. Presuppositional Arguments.
5. Evidential Arguments (oriented on Christian presuppositions).
All artfully and rationally crafted from biblical truth to assist the reader to succeed in disproving false religions and leading the lost to the mercy and grace found in Christ alone. Very intellectual, but not blindly mechanical, austere, or rigid. Robinson's apologetic constructs are relational, conversational, and facilitate understanding with clear analysis and evaluations of the diverse non-Christian religious systems and philosophies.

One Way to God is the very best kind of Christian apologetic book.
solid witnessing to non-Christian religions made simple w/ new tactics  Nov 2, 2009
i liked this book from the start, not just becasue i like to share my faith with other religions, but cuz i like philosophy made easy - i study lots of phil/epistemology and religions, but his is an outstanding book with loads of practical ways to defend the faith and win the lost.
the stategies and tactics are so unusual and fascinating, and like the author's book that refutes Mormons (Presuppositional Apologetics looks at Mormons), this intellectually blows them away with its unconventual information and tactics

i havent read much van til or bahnsen, some Oliphint and net-pal mananta - but this takes the tag argument and dismantles false religions so they may come to forgiveness and grace. i dont knw much about Presuppositional Apologetics and all the other presuppositions precisons and such, but this book is not only interesting, easy to understand big words/concepts, but very convincing.

O measureless might,
Ineffable love
While angels delight to worship above,
Thy mercies how tender,
How firm to the end
Our maker, Defender, Redeemer,
and Friend

Christian Philosophy Refutes False Religions  Oct 20, 2009
It's difficult to find books that attempt to disprove non-Christian religions using Christian philosophy. Here Robinson produces an innovative thought-provoking book that argues very effectively that only Christian theism is true; Christianity is logically necessary and certain. This is a scholarly yet very readable book for the beginner. It will also engage the scholar at levels he may not have thought about previously.

The author defines difficult terminology and explains challenging concepts so no one is baffled by the clear contentions he furnishes. It establishes the necessary reliability of the New Testament and that Christianity is the only comprehensive worldview; that it alone provides logical, philosophical, and theological necessities.

If you desire to find out how a philosophical, theological, and transcendental analysis refutes the world religions, then this fresh book is for you.

This work is a unique and dynamic examination of:

Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and the religions of your neighbors.

He quotes: William Edgar, Ravi Zacharias, Van Til, Greg Bahnsen, John Owen, Jonathan Edwards, Ronald Nash, Hoeksema, Francis Schaeffer,Robert Stern, John Frame, Colin Brown, Alvin Plantinga, Arthur Pink, K. Scott Oliphint, Charnock, and on and on.

Within its pages are numerous deductive and transcendental arguments which makes it a very unique book regarding comparative religion. It's good for a searching non-Christian, those with apologetic or philosophical interests, a religious scholar, or a minister.
