Reviews - What do our customers think?
NKJV Daily Bible  Jan 23, 2010
I feel the quality of paper used is very thin and cheap, otherwise the bible is fine.
It seems a sign of our times that the quality is getting worse and worse. This is a bible, the quality should be the best or at least acceptable. I have had many daily bibles this is the first time I have had this problem.
Out of order!  Sep 9, 2009
First, I feel like one of the only people, but I love the NKJV Bible. I have been looking and looking for a smaller lightwieght Bible to take along with me everywhere and I can find seemingly millions of NIV versions that fit what I am looking for. Because I couldn't find a NKJV to fit the form and size I wanted, I bought the NIV. I really do not like the NIV. It seems choppy and hard to read. There feels to be no flow between words which makes it hard for me to really absorb what I am reading. Ugh!

Anyway, I was finally happy to find the NKJV Bible. I was so ecstatic that it fit that light-wieght take anywhere Bible I was looking for that I snatched it up immediately. I was so saddened when I opened it and saw it is jumbled and not in order. I am not saying that this is a totally terrible thing. Everyone is different, I am of the opinion that the Bible must first and foremost be understood in complete context....Book by book, verse by verse. So many people quote scripture out of context and sorry, but many times it completely twist the whole idea of a verse. Most people will whine because a certain Biblical promise isn't working for them, and they quote that scripture all day long to everyone they meet, BUT they always forget that many "promises" have stipulations a few verses back. Like God doesn't just say that "All these things shall be added unto you"....Jesus says in complete context "If we seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness THEN all these things will be added unto you. This is a pretty recogizable example of what I mean, but most of God's promises in the Bible are that way. Think I am wrong? Take that promise you've been quoting over and over again find it in the Bible and read the verse or better yet the Chapters and Book that it is in and see it for yourself.

Another example from Phillipians 4....."But my God shall supply all your needs....."
Go back and read that verse in context of the Chapter. Paul said this to the Phillipians because they had so graciously given to him and provided for him. It isn't a no stipulation type promise from God, but to hear most Christians quote it or talk about it you'd easily think it were.

So because I think that the jumbling of the Bible books can lead to alot of harm or misplaced belief/misunderstanding, I think that this is a very very poor version (and possibly harmful) of the Bible. It is being returned. Focus on reading through the Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse a few times first to ensure you understand the "big picture" before chopping it into pieces. This will help you from falling into the trap of thinking God isn't working the way you think the Bible tells you He does.
Like new!  Jun 28, 2009
Even though this book has a library stamp on it, I consider it to be as good as new. Am enjoying the daily readings.
Easy Study  Feb 11, 2009
I am very impressed with this book. It divides the Bible study up into days, with everything you need in one-day sections. No flipping around to find the next readings. I am behind, but it is my own fault. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to study the Bible.
NKJV daily Bible  Feb 3, 2009
This is an excellent source for daily Bible reading. I would strongly encourage the use of this Bible for anyone.
