The major themes that are dealt with in bible studies: prayer, servant hood, discipleship, etc. are covered by lessons in the book. In the reviews that I read I heard that there were some thought provoking / deep questions that would help groups bond. I used this book with two groups, one group of Seniors (older than 70) and a high school group; neither had the type of introspective and deep conversations from the questions that I was hoping for. I prepared by reading the lessons, the leader's notes in the back, and prepared some follow along questions / personal examples. If you are looking for a book that will help you learn about the Gospel of Luke, this book is not for you. If you are looking for a book that will develop meaningful conversations and bonding, this book is not for you. If you want a book that will cover the basic lessons found in the Gospel of Luke, that is safe for all denominations, and that has nothing controversial in its material, this book will work for you.
