"The Ad Hoc Committee to Oversee the Use of the Catechism, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has found this catechetical textbook, Living Justice and Peace, copyright 2002, to be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church." Living Justice and Peace: Catholic Social Teaching in Practice is a new course for eleventh and twelfth graders. Living Justice and Peace teaches students about how the Scriptures and Catholic social teaching call them to justice and also fosters their ability and desire to respond to that call in their daily life. Chapter 2 provides an overview of Catholic social teaching, including discussion of the seven themes identified by the U.S. Catholic bishops in Sharing Catholic Social Teaching.
