Reviews - What do our customers think?
Letters to Hazel - Excellent read  Feb 4, 2009
Letters to Hazel is a wonderful story about the beginning of women's involvement in foreign missions beginning in the mid 1800s. Like many other Protestant denominations, women of the Reformed Church in America realized that women were needed to serve on the mission field in order to reach women and children in foreign countries. Church women mobilized, raised money, and collectively sent out missionaries during a time when women were not part of the paid workforce let alone had a voice in the church. This is a wonderful testimony to the many women who gave of themselves on behalf of other women and children and who stand as models to church women today.
