Item Description...
This updated edition includes three new articles, study guides, readers' letters, and a new cover. It outgrew "booklet" size and is now debuting in paperback. Bitterness often grows out of a small offense-perhaps a passing word, an accidental shove, or a pair of dirty socks left in the middle of the living room floor. Yet when bitterness takes root in our hearts, its effects are anything but small. In this collection of short articles, Jim Wilson and others discuss what it means to live as "imitators of God." As the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians, we have been called to leave the bitterness and anger of the world and instead embrace the love and compassion of our God. The authors remind us that we are to forgive others just as we have been forgiven, pointing to Scriptural admonitions and examples as they offer sound teaching on the trials and temptations of everyday life.

Strong insights on bitterness  Apr 5, 2004
This book is a set of several fairly short essays directly or closely related to the theme of bitterness. The first essay is the centerpiece, and worth far more than the price of this book. The author goes in to a careful analysis of what bitterness is, how to detect it, how it affects us, how the non-Christian world deals with it (ineffectively), and how Christians are to respond. Other essays deal with related topics, especially bitterness toward parents.

I must give this book five stars as it is clearly written (if slightly repetetive in places to make a point), contains many insights to the nature of bitterness, gives clear and practical guidance for dealing with it, and is based on Scripture.

The direct, pratical application provided in this book is what struck me most. I highly recommend it for personal study, even if you think you're not bitter!

This book will change your life, get it right now!  Jun 22, 2001
I found this book when I was searching for a Latin Primer for my eight year old daughter last year. I got it because the title was interesting. I have given this book to family, friends and members of my church. Everyone I know needs to read this book at lease once in their life.

Even if you feel that this does not apply to you what do you have to lose if you read it. You may also know someone else who would be healed by the information in this small book.

I once heard someone say that unforgiveness is like taking rat poison and hoping the rat will die. This book will help you escape from that trap and make forgiveness a lifelong habit.
