Item Description...
At age 17, I was raped. By 27, I lived in despair, thinking the only way to end the pain was to end my life. By the time I turned 37,my life was and now is filled with hope, joy, and peace. What happened? God met me in the center of my pain, and using the power and truth of His Word, He taught me who I am in Jesus and who He is. In His character, I found the perspective and possibility I needed to learn to live with my pain and to use it for His glory, blessing others and growing my faith. "After living with the brokenness of my past, a breakdown, and a suicide attempt, despite therapy, a supportive home and church family, it wasn't until I began the study of God's Word as provided through Carol's book that I understood my identity in Christ. I learned what God has to say about who I am and who He is; in that, I grew to accept my painful past. I thank God that Carol created this incredible book so others too might live life chosen, loved, and forgiven in the presence of our Almighty God." -KIM STREED "This book is the result of Carol's experience with sexual abuse and the life transformation and healing she found through the power of God's Word. Carol's heart for hurting people and her commitment to the truth of Scripture are being used by God in a mighty way in the F.O.C.I.S. [Finding Out Christ Is Sufficient] ministry at Harvest." -RICK DONALD, Assistant Senior Pastor Harvest Bible Chapel "If you're looking for a self-help book on how to ease the pain of sexual [physical, verbal, or emotional] abuse, don't waste your time reading this book; it won't help. But, if you're looking to be healed God's Way, to go from devastation to hope, then this book is an absolute must read." -DONALD HART Biblical Counseling Center
