Item Description...
A sheltered mountain girl, Glory is forced to build a life on her own after her Poppy dies. With a bagful of gold and no change of clothes, she sets out in search of a new life. Far too naive for the cold world before her, she ends up on the run from a greedy uncle who wants her gold--and who will kill her to get it. She manages to latch on to a wagonneer named Jackson and a group of teenage mail order brides. In her travels and adventures, Glory grows into a beautiful young woman with an unshakable faith--but will her faith be enough to win the heart of the handsome wagonneer?

Wanted: Women with religious upbringing, high morals, and a strong sense of adventure, willing to marry decent, God-fearing men. Applicants may apply by mail. Must allow at least two months for an answer.

On the run from a no-good scoundrel, Glory reluctantly joins a wagon train of mail-order brides heading for Denver City. But what if her secret endangers them all? And the way the handsome wagon master makes her heart do flip-flops is just plain befuddling!

As if five mail-order brides weren?t a big enough handful, now Jackson has a fiercely independent young woman to look after -one who makes his job all the harder by insisting she doesn?t need help! Jackson suspects otherwise . . . and his heart soon insists that this feisty beauty deserves the lion?s share of his attention.

As Glory?s past unfolds, both Jackson and Glory learn important lessons about God?s faithfulness - and the strength of their growing love.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Glory,Is My Favorite Book In This Series!  Aug 12, 2008
I loved this story. It is full of adventure, action, romance, and suspense. The friendship, bonding, then love, that develops between the poor mountain girl Glory, who was raised by a kind older man in isolation, and the 5 traveling mail-order brides,is heartwarming.

The girls help Glory change from thinking two baths within a few months, was 1 too many, into a lovely young woman who learns to read, and to love. Glory's pure honesty and innocence teaches the girls and the wagon-master Lincoln Jackson a few things,as well!

I should have stopped after reading Glory, because Ruth doesn't even have the same feeling at all,nor does it feel like it is even part of a series, there are too many changes, especially in the character of Ruth.

However,Glory is a wonderful read,as a stand alone book.
Better than expected  Apr 12, 2007
I was a little worried after I bought this book and then read the reviews. There were some reviews that said this book was awful but I actually loved it. There were times when I wondered, "how is this going to turn out?" but I was really surprised at the end how great the story was. I think that this series may be even better than the first three. Highly recommended.
Spunky tomboy doesn't know her place  Apr 6, 2002
Glory, an orphan of sorts herself, flees a disagreeable home and town, only to find she really doesn't fit in much anyplace. After Poppy dies, she is sought by wicked Uncle Amos. Fleeing, she has to defend her virtue, bearing the guilt of what she left behind. If there is anything wagon master Lincoln does not need, it is another girl to have to care for and transport to his final destination. Stubborn, unlearned and unkempt, Glory is determined to make it on her own. Mystery, action and romance happen in spite of Glory, certainly not because of her.
Copeland's "Glory" Packed With Adventure & Romance  Mar 23, 2001
After the wonderful story of "Hope" I tore into "Glory" like a hungry wolf tears into its prey. Glory, a sheltered mountain girl, is forced to build a life on her own after her Poppy dies. With a bagful of gold and no change of clothes, she sets out in search of a new life. Far too naive for the cold world before her, she ends up on the run from a greedy uncle who wants her gold -- and who will kill her to get it. When she manages to latch on (however unwillingly) to a wagonneer named Jackson and a group of teenaged mail order brides, things REALLY get interesting. In her travels and adventures, Glory grows into a beautiful young woman with an unshakeable faith -- but will her faith be enough to win the heart of the handsome wagonneer? Copeland's "Glory" was glorious. This one's a MUST READ.
