Excerpt from book: THE DISPUTATION IN THE CONVOCATION-HOUSE, OCTOBER, A.d. 1553. [NOTICES iBY THX ZDITOBl OF THE PRINCIPAL DISPUTANTS IN THE CONVOCATION sUMMONED BY QUEEN MARY, ST PAUL'S, LONDON, OCTOBER, 6, 1553. ROMISH DISPUTANTS. 111 .ii Weston, a native of Leicestershire, entered at Balliol Col- Prolocutor. lege, Oxford, in 1526, and subsequently became a fellow of that society. He was elected rector of Lincoln College in 1538; and two years afterwards was appointed Margaret Professor of Divinity; and subsequently archdeacon of Colehester, and rector of Clyff in Kent.
