Overview
How can one make the ethical and "right" decision in a deeply ambiguous moral world? This basic introduction to Christian ethics--with attitude--examines the fundamental ethical problematic of moral decision-making in which knowledge will always be unsure, time short, decisions ambiguous, and consequences multiple and unforseeable. Pluralism and complexity today make personal, sexual, social, medical, business, and political choices "dirty", and ethics needs to be rethought accordingly.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Christian ethics from a minority & American perspective  May 8, 2001
Baker-Fletcher's book presents brief synopses of numerous ethical models, followed by his own model, which he calls the Journey moralscape. Many elements of this model are helpful in determining one's own ethical perspective. The writing is somewhat confusing (though that may just be me).

The ethics of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Martin Luther King Jr. are favorably presented. Many of the examples are from the author's minority and American perspective. I wonder if it shouldn't be titled, Dirty Hands: Christian Ethics in a Morally Ambiguous *America*.
