Item Description...
Just as Mary Pierce had you rolling in the aisles with her thoughts about growing older in When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head? this book will have you chuckling over her thoughts about life and faith?coming to faith, needing faith, growing in faith, and faltering in faith.

Publishers Description
Is your spiritual life more like a fast-food run than an intimate dinner for two? Whether it s the busy mother s wish to be Wonder Woman---minus the metal bra---or battles with an exploding hot water heater, or fighting the Resolutionary War of New Year s Day, Mary Pierce understands the dilemmas of being a woman in today s 24/7 world. From disorganized misery to extreme organizational mania (she used to refer to her children by their household chores: Cat Box Boy, Dishwasher Girl, and Garbage Can Baby), Pierce deals with our fumbling attempts to grow closer to God, encouraging us as she invites us to laugh, cry, love, embrace life, and pray In her humorous, conversational style, Pierce laughs at her mistakes and her prayers that seem more like advertising jingles (Lord, I need a break today, and Can you hear me now, Lord?). In Confessions of a Prayer Wimp, you ll come to understand that faith is less about what you are or do or say, and more about who God is---someone who loves you no matter what you do."

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Here's a letter from a friend  Aug 22, 2008
As I write this in article with my laptop perched on the edge of cluttered disaster of desk in my disorganized waste filled office I am trying focus on Mary’s number one resolution in her chapter on the “resolutionary war.” “This year I will let myself go.” Maybe you have a friend like Mary who can help you see things from just a little different if off-kilter angle and laugh at yourself. Just in case you don’t pick up a copy of “Confessions of Prayer Wimp” to read and answer the questions at the end of each chapter. I know that you will laugh, smile, cry, and grimace your way through this little book. It is the ideal book to carry in your purse or pocket for those times when you must wait. The people around you will wonder want you are on. Then they will want some too. Here is a short list of chapter titles. “Thank God for Pine-sol,” “Little House – unabridged,” “Clearing the Clutter,” “Hand Over the Metal Bra and Nobody Gets Hurt,” “Of Mice and Hula Hoops,” “Lazy Mary, Will You Get Up?” and “The Resolutionary War” are just a few of the titles that will get your juices flowing. Let your imagination run wild, Mary certainly does.
Here are some of the questions that Mary asks you to answer at the end of her chapters. “Are you more of a rows and columns woman or a blobs and splashes gal? Explain. How has your person style helped or hindered your ability to keep your life on track?” “How has technology changed your life in the past ten years?” “What’s been the positive impact?” “What’s been the downside for you?” “How many times have you moved in your life? This is clearly an interactive book that asks you to think about what you’re reading. Daniel
Refreshing  Mar 8, 2007
Mary Pierce has a way of bringing our faults and shortcomings (that I typically try to ignore in myself) out into the air in a way that is lighthearted and often humorous. So, I find myself laughing at my flaws and eager to overcome them through christ. Thank you Mary!
Add some fun to your devotions!  Mar 18, 2005
This book's 26 chapters gave me 26 mornings worth of smiling "aha's" during my prayer time. Mary Pierce first made me smile and then made me think--and pray--about how God gets my attention. An enlightening, inspiring read!
