Item Description...
KJ-52 is a rare find in today's Christian hip hop world. A Caucasian American MC who has risen to prominence in a largely black arena, he is at once a respectful student of the art form and a genuine hip hop innovator, stretching the boundaries of both its sound and shape. And regardless of where he¹s working- from churches and huge Christian festivals to the heart of the hip hop club scene, KJ can hold his own, with ease, against the best rappers in the business. Indeed, there¹s nothing that smacks of the poseur in KJ; rather, everything about his work screams "the real deal."

My sons favorite  Jan 10, 2007
My son received 3 Christian hip hop CD's for Christmas and this was his favorite.
Rap with a msg  Sep 6, 2006
KJ-52 is a man who we can all relate to. His words are true and his message is clear. No goofin' around here. You will know the truth after one spin around. So if you hear this CD, you are now "without excuse"!
If you like DC Talk and TobyMac  May 30, 2006
This was my introduction to KJ-52. It was reccomended because I enjoy DC Talk and TobyMac. What a great album!
KJ Did Another Good Job  Jan 10, 2006
First of all, here's a little background on KJ-52:
Jonah, aka KJ-52, although commonly believed, is not a rip-off of Eminem. He recorded his first album (7th Avenue) in 1998, before Eminem even came onto the scene (he speaks of this on his "Ask KJ" podcast from May 23, 2005. You can find it on the iTunes podcast page by searching for "KJ-52" or "KJ52"). I won't get into this here, but let you hear KJ's side of the story.

As to the album:

Jonah brought back his trademark craziness, as well as his deep and serious material in this album. He did a great job of combining the two, making this an above-average album. I wouldn't call this "the best album ever" in the history of white rappers, but I do believe it is his best work so far. As he says in the back of the insert, this album came from many years of hard work and is the most rewarding for him to date.

Although there are a couple of problems on the disc (such as lyrics not synching perfectly to the beat), they are greatly outweighed by the variation of material on this disc, both lyrically and musically. Jonah included some deep, deep stuff (Life After Death, a more rap-core song), and some more funky stuff (Video Games, throwing in everything from John Madden to Dig Dug), making it a very balanced album.

Overall, I give it 4 Stars. Good job, KJ!

God bless, y'all.
Wow  Dec 28, 2005
Wow, my friend picked up this album (he was misled into buying it by Bestbuy employee) and he was so dissapointed in it that he ended up breaking the CD. I listened to it and I have to say that "KJ" has no place in the world. His voice and flow are an Eminem knock off and the beats are also Eminem knock offs. Or actually cast aways because a real rapper wouldn't even want to be heard over this crap. Him trying to dis Eminem in anyway is ridiculous considering that KJ is trying to be Eminem. Either way don't bother to spend the money on this because if you do will end up completly dissapointed
