Item Description...
See the world as God sees it. This book offers ten building blocks for seeing the world beyond our borders--a world full of people God loves and wants you to love. WHEN THE NETWORK NEWS COMES ON AND SHOWS MORE AFRICANS SUFFERING FORM STARVATION AND DISEASE, ARE YOU TEMPTED TO TURN THE DIAL? When you read headlines about Latin American troops firing into a crowd of angry demonstrators, do you rush past it to the sports page? When you see the faces of Arabs who may never learn of Christ's love, do you feel glad you weren't born a Muslim? You're not alone-even among believers. There is increasing pressure on Christians today to "seek personal comfort and ease, to look for a self-centered relationship with God," writes Paul Borthwick. Instead of becoming world Christians, we're becoming worldly Christians. A Mind for Missions helps you break that mold. In these pages you'll discover ten building blocks for sensitizing yourself or your group to the needs beyond our borders. From prayer and giving to current events and life-style choices, Borthwick leads you to practical ways of sharpening your world vision right where you live.

Reviews - What do our customers think?
Missions-the why and how  Jan 3, 2001
A very easy to read book which shows the importance of missions as well as practical insights on being mission minded. A very good book for new Christians and serves as a very useful reminder for the older.
An infectious mobilizing motivator  Jun 21, 1999
This book rocked my world(view)! Borthwick is infectious! His declaration that EVERY Christian must be a 'world Christian' flies off the pages in amazingly practical and highly motivating ways. Whether you are new to the idea of missions or not this book will be a literary 'burning bush' in your hands. WARNING: If we don't want the walls of the boxes we live in to be shattered around us, we best not read this book!
