The father of five advises: kids are going to test you. Be ready. Stand in the middle of their bedroom and just observe. Forgive your own dad and tell your kids something good about him. If you have a prodigal child, don't turn your back on him.
Jay gives us a new way to answer the phrase, "I'm bored." As summer approaches, those tips alone are invaluable. [Buy the book and be ready for it!] He also reminds us we are working our way out of a job. Time will fly by. Stop and catch some fireflies.

| Jay has a way of putting you right in the middle of his living room and learning from his successes, failures and more importantly what God's word can teach us about how to raise kids. As a father of 3 boys, I found Jay's book inspiring, challenging and a fun read. It is quick and easy and packed with great ideas and thoughts on how to raise kids. I have already begun to plan out a few ideas with my kids and never will yell at my kids about spilling milk again (gotta get the book to find out what this about).
